Registration for the 2025 season opens on April 1st, 2025

The South Briar Barracudas is open to all swimmers residing within South Briar, Southlake & Southlake Townhomes, Ashford Villages, Ashford Hollow and Shadowbriar neighborhoods.

We also welcome swimmers from the open territory areas west of Dairy Ashford, south of Westheimer east of Wilcrest and north of Buffalo Bayou and beyond.

REGISTRATION FEES

Ages 4 - 14:   $175 first swimmer | siblings $115

Ages 15 - 18: $85

*fee maximum of $400 for multi-swimmer families

PRACTICE SCHEDULE

Practice times are age-group specific, and a swimmer's age group is determined by their age as of May 31.  Swimmers must practice at their assigned time with their age group.

We follow the HISD calendar and in May practices are after school Mon-Fri & Sat am. When HISD closes for the summer we switch to all morning practices Mon-Sat. 

VOLUNTEERING

With the exception of paid coaches, the swim team is 100% managed by volunteers. This means we depend on every family to pitch in and help us ensure the meets can take place.

INCLEMENT WEATHER

If it is necessary to delay or cancel practice due to severe or inclement weather, we will send a notification via Remind. Text @sbcudas to 81010 to be certain you're getting all updates and notifications. Remember, we cancel ONLY if absolutely necessary and cancellation may not affect all practice times.
